A Garzweiler mining project that I worked on in Juchen, Germany is one of my favorite projects. It fueled my passion in architecture. The displaced population of the mines was able to return to their original native area through a five-phase development. With new job opportunities, a self-sustaining agricultural campus, and mixed-use residential and entertainment district, the community will be strengthened and shaped. The project reunified and rebuilt a fragmented region in Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia.

I was the high school mascot, Hawk Hogan. A big blue bird with 12-pack abs and yellow leggings.
