"Don't look back, you're not going that way." - Mary Engelbreit

My final studio project in college focused on studying neurodiversity and sensory processing as they relate to architectural design. We were challenged to design a nature center that could support the broad range of needs and experiences within the autism spectrum. I created a space that offered a variety of experiences, from an interactive green roof to quiet retreat spaces that provided opportunities for sensory regulation. This became one of my favorite projects because, although we were designing for a specific community, it showed me the importance of creating spaces that are flexible enough to support the diverse ways people experience the world.

My junior year of college I studied abroad in Florence and travelled to 9 other countries. Some of my favorite experiences were paragliding and skiing in Switzerland, swimming in the Blue Lagoon in Malta, and taking the The Sound of Music and Mamma Mia movie tours in Austria and Croatia.
